History in the making

The Griffith Island Club is a non-profit club dedicated to sport shooting. Club members enjoy ownership of the island’s magnificent 2,300+ acres situated on Georgian Bay near Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada (less than 3 hours by car from Toronto or Buffalo, NY). With a long and storied history stretching back to the landing there by Samuel de Chaplain in 1609, Griffith Island has provided centuries of adventure for its inhabitants and visitors alike.

Since 1973, the Club has been maintained as an exclusive sport shooting facility and social retreat for some 65 – 70 members. All members share a passion for the great outdoors. Several members travel from across the USA and Europe to enjoy the unique Griffith Island experience.
